As a Project Purchaser specialising in steel construction-related procurement, you’ll play a key role in our turnkey projects. You’ll devise the procurement strategy, take the lead and ensure that everything – from equipment to materials – arrives on time, within budget and of the right quality at the right loca-tion.
You’ll be working in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. You’ll be part of a dedicated procurement team, liaise with project teams and have many external contacts. With your sharp eye and decisiveness, you’ll make a difference and take projects to the next level.
What will you be doing?
In this role, you will be the point of contact for all matters relating to project procurement. You will:
• Attend project meetings to gain a clear understanding of what is required
• Devise the best procurement approach for each project
• Identify the best (local and international) suppliers
• Request quotes, compare them and make the best choice
• Ensure that purchase orders align perfectly with the schedule and budget
• Work closely with project teams and your direct procurement colleagues
• Provide clear progress reports and identify risks in good time
• Ensure quality, safety and compliance
• Monitor deliveries and anticipate scheduling risks
