About the job
Would you like to develop complex international horticultural projects from the initial client meeting right through to contract signing? As a Sales Manager at Van der Hoeven, you will build long-term client relationships and tap into new markets, whilst collaborating with our technical specialists on sustainable, high-tech horticultural projects around the world.
As a Sales Manager, you will have commercial responsibility for your market area South-East Asia and will guide clients from the initial commercial exploration right through to contract signing and handover to the project team.
Our sales processes are technically complex and often lengthy. You are therefore not selling a standard product. You delve into the client’s ambitions, business case and challenges, and then work with our colleagues to develop an integrated solution that makes sense both technically and commercially.
You are the commercial face of Van der Hoeven to the client. You build trust, create new opportunities and ensure momentum and direction are maintained throughout the entire process.
An overview of your tasks:
- Strategically develop and further expand existing client relationships.
- Identify and develop new clients, projects and commercial opportunities in your region.
- Analyse client enquiries, investment plans and business cases, and translate these into concrete commercial opportunities.
- Develop suitable project concepts and solutions in collaboration with our technical teams.
- Develop commercial proposals and strategies and present them to clients.
- Oversee the entire sales process, from initial contact and qualification through to negotiation and contract signing.
- Actively monitor market, client and competitive developments and translate these into new business.
- Represent Van der Hoeven to clients, partners, at international events and other relevant market activities.
- Ensure a professional handover to the project team and continue to maintain the client relationship thereafter.
