About the job
As a Service Technician in horticultural automation, you will be working in an innovative environment where you will play a key role in the implementation of domestic projects and service assignments for Hortiplan’s clients.
- You will be responsible for installing horticultural automation equipment and systems. You will help to develop new projects, whilst service and maintenance work will also form part of your role with our greenhouse horticulture clients in Belgium.
- During an induction period, you will be immersed in the various technologies and areas of horticultural automation so that you can eventually work independently.
- You will assist with the installation and aftercare of:
- Water-related systems (pumps, valves, PVC)
- Mechanical and hydraulic systems
- Process computers for climate control and the management of irrigation systems
- Electrical installations such as switchboards and cabling, and (LED) lighting
Your profile
- You have a qualification in Electromechanics / Electrical Engineering or have gained equivalent experience.
- You possess technical ingenuity, work with precision and have a strong sense of perseverance to see even the most challenging projects through to completion.
- Experience in carrying out projects is certainly considered a plus.
- You are proficient in using Microsoft Office applications and other administrative software.
- You hold a Category B driving licence.
- You have an excellent knowledge of Dutch or English.
- Team spirit and a sense of responsibility are considered essential qualities for this future ‘Hortiplanner’.
