Are you a technician who enjoys resolving faults for customers, but who also gets a real buzz from helping to draw up plans, design and make technical improvements?
Are you looking for a job that offers you freedom, variety and responsibility? We are looking for a motivated all-round Service Technician to join our team in Roeselare.
- You’ll work independently in the field to analyse and resolve electrical and mechanical faults.
- You’ll help develop new projects, whilst service and maintenance work also form part of your role with our greenhouse horticulture clients in Belgium.
- You’ll be the point of contact for customers, offering advice and helping to devise sustainable solutions.
During an induction period, you’ll be immersed in the various technologies and areas of horticultural automation so that you can eventually work independently.
You’ll be involved in preventive maintenance, installation and aftercare of:
- Water-related installations (pumps, valves, PVC)
- Mechanical and hydraulic installations
- Process computers for climate control and the management of irrigation systems
- Electrical installations such as switchboards and cabling, (LED) lighting
Finally, if you wish, you can help with the drafting and design of electrical cabinets. You will contribute to schematics, cabinet layout and optimisations. You will combine your practical technical experience with design work.
Your profile
- You have a qualification in electrical engineering or electromechanics
- You enjoy combining hands-on technical work with analytical thinking
- You are flexible and enjoy variety, as our work alternates between providing service and carrying out installations
- You have a technical mind, work with precision and possess a great deal of perseverance to see even the most challenging projects through to completion.
- Experience in carrying out projects is certainly considered a plus.
- You have an excellent knowledge of either Dutch or English
- You hold a Category B driving licence.
- Team spirit and a sense of responsibility are considered essential qualities for this future ‘Hortiplanner’
